Travel Photography That Tells a Story

Travel Photography That Tells a Story

If you travel, do you tell stories with your travel photography? Those incredible places and even more interesting people we meet all have a story to tell, but how do you find that story?

Jamie’s talk at the The Royal Photographic Society, Exploitation vs Empathy: Photographing Different Cultures, takes a look at our travels from Turkey to Indonesia via Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea, Yemen, Oman, India, The Maldives, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. It is also a journey through his development as a photographer through our sometimes intimate glimpse into many different cultures.

The talk was held online on Sunday 21st January, peppered throughout with images we’ve never published before. Here are a few, but can you guess where they were taken? For more, please watch the episode available on YouTube.
