Sailing along Sabah’s eastern shore was never going to be easy, but loud and scary noises at night weren’t on the “to worry about” list.
Yes, sailing in waters and anchoring in places that are deemed extremely dangerous because of piracy was on that list. Having to make temporary repairs to broken rigging in remote places is par for the course. But finding the biggest floating log we’d ever seen wrapped around our anchor chain was a bit of a surprise.
