Sombat was in Port Takola, a nearby marina, where he had been working on a boat there. When he turned on the engine, the boat blew up. Thankfully, no-one was killed, but Sombat was seriously hurt. They rushed Sombat to hospital where he is still in intensive care.

Neither of us had owned any kind of boat before we bought SY Esper, and it was a steep learning curve. The biggest lesson to date was when we tried crossing the equator in the Maldives.
