Got woken up by an excited Timmy at 4am, claiming aliens had visited him! Apparently whilst on watch the sails were lit up by a huge bright spotlight. Knowing it wasn’t the moon since that was on the other side of the sky Tim turned round in time to see the spotlight rise up from a point in the sky, shine horizontally above the boat and then disappear at some distant point above the horizon. Sounds like a very bright shooting star to me, but you never know…
Sad news as we lost Roger today, so our thoughts go out to our top goal scorer. Even so, with only 500 miles to go four of us celebrated with the last two cans of beer. Never before has a beer been savoured like these!
