Over the Spring of 2008 I decided to take some portraits of the people associated with sailing here in Marmaris, Turkey. Of the 100 or so original portraits a few stood out as being quite striking, so I produced this little montage.
I’d always been obsessed with landscape shots, in particular sunsets and seascapes, and it has taken me this long to dig out my portrait lens, a Canon 50mm 1.4 prime, and really get to grips with its potential. Now I’m loving every minute of it!
I’ve enjoyed working on this project and it is something I hope to continue to persue as we make our way round the world.
