For the last few months our followtheboat updates have centred around our refit. This is all very well if you’re interested in boats, mechanics, engineering, painting and/or dusty Thai boatyards, but some of you are probably missing our travel stories and photos. Fear not, because Liz has just revamped her travel writing website and, right now, she’s getting more hits than followtheboat!
Liz has mainly been occupied with overseeing the refit in my absence but somehow she’s found the time to revamp her website and fill it full of travel stories, interviews and competition announcements, not to mention her tireless work with the Itinerant Writers Club, which sets monthly themes for the members to write about and critique.
The website revamp is now fully optmised for desktop, tablet and smartphone, with the focus on text presentation, so the content now reads like a book or magazine. And, talking of magazines, Liz has been working on a new online literary travel writing quarterly, which will be available in a number of formats for your reading pleasure. Content will be provided by IWC members, published authors, artists, and photographers. I’ve seen the content and it’s pretty special, so watch this space for the launch, coming in autumn.
With the large amount of content being added to Liz’s site, she now publishes a weekly digest of her articles by email, so if you’re interested in keeping up with her award-winning writing, interviews with industry bigwigs and all things travel-writing, click here to get the updates. Thank you.
