He’s been looking for a way to get his hands on some cash money! But, in the remotest villages of Indonesia it turned out to be a nigh-on impossible task.
And as he tramped the trails and paths, it rapidly began to resemble a classical quest. His hunt had it all: highs, lows, strange and wonderful characters, self-realisation, philosophy and all performed in far-off lands.
This part of the world is seldom travelled by tourists, so you need to be self-sufficient. We had miscalculated our cash situation, and it proved to be more stressful than we’d have liked.
