Hi Jamie and Liz
I purchased a 40K Rocna for my 42 foot Adams Radford, Anchored with it a few times and it really is too heavy for my windlass what size Rocna do you have /recommend is a 25K too small? My yacht weighs 13Ton

Sorry to hear about your woes, that must be frustrating. A 40kg anchor is big on any boat so it doesn’t surprise me your windlass is suffering. We went for the 33kg model. It’s first generation but I’m sure they still make it. Don’t forget we have a similarly specc’d boat to yours and I’d say even ours is over-sized, not that I would go any smaller.
Are you in a position to either swap or sell the anchor and get the 33kg model? My recommendation would be to do that, and rather do it now before you wear away your gears in your windlass!
Let us know how you get on.
Peace and fair winds!
