I was going to reply to Jamie’s recent post “What are you up to right now” but the thread doesn’t appear to know that I already logged in to FTB Mates and I get the message that I must be logged in to reply – probably something wrong at my end.

So… the rally must be over since you are on the hard in Saba?  Would like to hear what the other boats are planning next.  Sorry to hear that Covid has come back to haunt you also – things are in crisis mode in the US and no end in sight.  People just don’t seem to get it that wearing masks can make a real difference – of course with no firm guidance from current “leadership” (lack thereof) less than half our population is adhering to recommendations from the medical communities.  We will stay hunkered down as much as possible.

Peace and fair winds to you, Grady

    Hi Grady,

This is an error with browser cache. Your browser has landed on the non-logged in page and cached it, so next time you put in your username and password, it logs you in correctly but it serves up the non-logged in page. To clear your browser cache, hit F5 after you’ve logged in. I need to see if there is a way around this in the longer term but this should get you up and running in the short term.

Yes, the situation here is frustrating but we were given a heads-up that a second wave and lockdown was imminent so that’s why we hauled out. One other boat is here with us (Chasca), Songlines III and Zizi are both in the anchorage just oppose, while the other boats headed back to KK. None have left the country. We remain philosophical. There are people in far worse situations than us, and we’re using our time constructively. Hopefully things will lift a little around 6th December, when we plan to head to KK for Christmas… and get some sailing in!

Hope you’re doing well and keeping safe.

    Peace and fair winds!

Thanks Jamie,  caching can be both good and bad.

We are all well here despite the Covid surge going on across the US.

Will be hunkered down with only our household for the holidays.

    Stay well, Grady

Thank you so much, Susan! Yes, I saw some notifications (while we’ve been battling here in the boat yard) and it all seems to be up and running again. So lovely to have you back! Sorry to hear about your vision, I hope you can get it sorted out. Yup, this pandemic is really mucking up our plans and means we haven’t been to see family and friends in the UK for more than two years now. Boo. Let’s hope the vaccine becomes available again soon, so we can all hug again. xx

    Peace and fair winds!
