    Ahoy shipmates!

21st November already? Where has the year gone!

It’s still hot and steamy over here in tropical southeast Asia, the only thing that changes is the wind direction. How’s it going where you are?

This latest episode just about typifies what it means to be a cruiser. Boat maintenance (of course), sailing in testing seas and anchoring off a desert island.

After the epic journey through Indonesia, we take a quick stop at Sebana Cove marina in Malaysia to check-in and get some boat chores done. Liz goes up the mast to sort out the Aqua Signal tricolor which hasn’t been working for the last 500 miles. And while she’s up there we finally get those spreaders clean! Hooray!

After a few beer o’clocks and provisioning, it’s time to sail 100 miles to the paradise island of Pulau Tioman in the South China Sea. Paradise because of its clear water, coral reefs and white-sand beaches, but also for its limitless duty-free booze available to boaters.

But first we have to get round the cape through the rolly seas and big swell. With 4m waves on the beam and the sails prevented it was a fast ride…

As always, thank you so much for your support, we are so lucky to have you along with us.

    Peace and fair winds!

In Italy the weather is doing some damage, in Venice the high water causes a lot of damage. Maybe Liz already knows, but Cava is a Spanish wine, nothing to do with Prosecco, other grapes but both go down well.

    Hello,

Well in Louisville, Kyle it’s 43 degrees and windy. Seems like the older we get the faster the days go. Looks like it was rough going am glad to see it cleared up. What a wonderful place.

Don’t know why the auto correct changed it but Kyle should be Kentucky.

In Melbourne today it got to 41C with scary winds but now a cool change has taken it down to 16C and we expect a cold night. Melbourne in spring. Gotta love it.

In my part of Newfoundland the weather lately has been mostly cold rain and drizzle, with a few windy days tossed in. The temperatures are bouncing just a few degrees above and below freezing, meaning occasional brief periods of snow that quickly disappears. Won’t be long before it starts to stick around.

And on the north coast of western Canada our forecast is for snow next weekend but I’ve convinced myself that itt isn’t going to happen.  Not here, not now, not ever.

There’s all sorts of weather going on everywhere! We’re permanently hot and humid here, but all that will change when we head north to Japan then Alaska. Gonna have to get that heater installed soon now. 😉

    Peace and fair winds!
