The Porthole Newspaper

For Marmaris Bay Cruisers

The Porthole is a bi-weekly newspaper written for sailors by sailors. Sponsored and published by Marmaris Yacht Marina the newspaper aims to inform and entertain the yotties in the Marmaris Bay area, covering news, goings-on, general information, and amusing articles.

The first edition was a practice run, to test the water so to speak. Its content was a bit novel, most of it was made up and it was four pages long. As the paper has gained popularity, however, so the content has grown. It's become more relevant and now most of the content is provided by other yachties in and around Marmaris.

The Porthole was conceptualised by us (Liz and Jamie), Graham of 'Eeyore', Gordon of 'Rama' and Paul and Karen of 'Antigua Lady'.

We have endeavoured to publish an on-line version of each issue. This is not without complication since we are attempting to replicate a paper medium onto your screen, but the following online issues give you a very good idea of what The Porthole is all about. Should you want to contribute any article or feature then please email us HERE.
