Access Walden

Access Walden, held on Sunday 16th October, was an event held in Saffron Walden to raise awareness and campaign for a safer route into Saffron Walden along the Wenden Road. For three hours the road was closed to enable cyclists, walkers and joggers to enjoy this 3 mile round trip on a glorious autumnal day. What made it special, however, was the immense support it received: the expected 200 attendees turned out to be over 800 people! Here are some images, in no particular order, that capture that special morning. Well done to all involved. For more info check out Access Walden on Facebook.

  1. What a fantastic turnout (almost 1000 people at the last count) on a beautiful October day. It was not just the ordinary but also some strange sights including a unicycle, an electric tricycle, a wooden bike and all sorts of scooters & skateboards! The beer at the end was very welcome.
